Scope is a Shopify app that reads your wholesale supplier invoices using AI and updates your inventory automatically. Instead of typing in each item by hand, you upload a PDF or forward the supplier email, and Scope extracts the data and pushes it into Shopify after you approve it.
No. Scope installs directly from the Shopify App Store. Once installed, you connect your store and you're ready to upload your first invoice. There's no coding, no template configuration, and no IT department required. Most users process their first invoice within a few minutes of installing.
Yes. All paid plans include a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. You can also use the free plan indefinitely, which includes 2 invoices per month and access to all features. Upgrade whenever you're ready.
Invoices
Scope works with any standard wholesale invoice PDF. It also accepts invoices forwarded as email attachments via the email forwarding feature. There are no required templates. The AI reads whatever layout your supplier uses, whether it's a clean digital PDF or a scanned document.
Scope's AI performs well on the vast majority of standard wholesale invoices. Accuracy improves over time as you use vendor profiles (which teach Scope your specific SKU conventions and size mappings). That said, you always review the extracted data before anything is pushed to Shopify. We recommend treating it like a capable assistant: check the work before approving.
Nothing is pushed to Shopify without your explicit approval. After Scope processes an invoice, you see all extracted line items before committing anything. You can edit quantities, SKUs, or prices directly in the review screen. Only after you click Approve does any inventory change happen in your store.
You can upload invoices one at a time. Each invoice is processed and added to your queue independently. If you receive multiple invoices in an email, Scope will process each attached PDF separately. All processed invoices remain in your queue until you review and approve or dismiss them.
Email forwarding lets you send supplier invoices directly to [email protected]. In your Scope settings, you register your email address (or addresses). When you forward an email with an invoice PDF attached, Scope automatically receives and processes it. The invoice appears in your review queue without you ever opening the app. It's the fastest way to receive inventory.
Billing
Each PDF or email forwarded for processing counts as one invoice, regardless of how many line items it contains. A 200-item invoice counts the same as a 2-item invoice. Monthly limits reset on your billing date each month.
Yes, any time. Upgrades take effect immediately and you gain access to your new invoice limit right away. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. There are no fees or penalties for changing plans.
Scope will prompt you to upgrade before processing any invoices beyond your plan limit. Your existing processed invoices and data remain intact. You won't lose anything. You can upgrade immediately or wait until your next billing cycle resets your count.
Yes. Annual billing saves up to 17% compared to paying month-to-month. Annual plans are billed once per year. You can see annual pricing on the pricing page by toggling the billing switch.
Shopify
No. Scope never changes your Shopify inventory without your approval. After processing an invoice, you review the results in the Scope app. Only after you explicitly approve the invoice does Scope push the inventory updates to Shopify. This is intentional. You stay in control.
Scope works with all Shopify plans, including Basic, Shopify, Advanced, and Plus. It installs through the standard Shopify App Store and uses Shopify's official API. There are no plan restrictions on the Shopify side.
Scope only updates inventory when you approve an invoice. It adjusts quantities by adding the received amounts to your existing stock counts. It does not overwrite or delete existing inventory data. If you want to review exactly what will change before approving, the review screen shows you each product, variant, and the quantity being added.
